I’m pleased to announce the launch of Flowcrete Americas’ online Architectural Resources Center, which can be found online at www.flowcreteamericas.com/architectural-resources
This includes access to our new BIM Content Library amongst a host of other technical literature, tools and information targeted at architects, engineers and Design-Build firms.
For those who are unfamiliar with BIM, BIM stands for Building Information Modeling. Adoption of BIM in the U.S. is expected to reach 84% by the end of 2016.
BIM files are electronic data files that provide a digital representation of the physical and functional characteristics of an object or a system used within a building or facility throughout its entire lifecycle.
Architects can drop BIM objects or systems directly into a 3D building model and its associated component database at specification stage, forming a blue-print for the design and construction process as well as a point of reference for building owners or facility managers following handover of the building.
Combined with our new AIA CES Seminar Program, the launch of our BIM Content Library and other architectural resources represents a significant step towards providing the tools and platforms needed to better serve the AEC community.
Flowcrete Americas is delighted to have published BIM System files for each of its available polymer flooring systems .
