Africa’s construction industry landed at Johannesburg’s Sandton Convention Centre for two days last week for the Totally Concrete Expo – and Flowcrete South Africa was at the heart of the event!

The exhibition hall was packed throughout the show with construction professionals, ranging from architects, quantity surveyors, developers, contractors, suppliers, end clients and more, who were all eager to discuss the latest trends, news and technologies.

The show’s organisers had made good on their promise to put on a bumper show this year, as the event was co-located with the Africa Construction exhibition. This made 2014’s expo an especially exciting one for us, as Flowcrete South Africa is able to supply construction projects across Africa, making the extra focus on the entire continent a brilliant bonus.

A Polished Performance on the Stand

We kept this atmosphere of enthusiasm alive at our stand, where we were not only showcasing large samples of the decorative epoxy terrazzo flooring solution Mondéco, but where we also had several of Scanmaskin’s floor grinding and polishing machines on display. The machines and samples were great talking points and generated a lot of interest in our flooring systems and the practical aspects of applying them within large-scale commercial and industrial environments.

We took this opportunity to celebrate our exclusive South African partnership with Scanmaskin by running a competition throughout Totally Concrete in which visitors to our stand could put themselves in the running to win a Scanmaskin toolbox.

Overall the event introduced us to some fantastic new people and projects from within South Africa as well as across Africa itself (be sure to check back on the blog for updates on new installations and developments). So roll on Totally Concrete 2015!
