This June, London’s most impressive architectural plans and projects will debut at the annual London Festival of Architecture; a month-long, citywide celebration of architectural experimentation, thinking and practice.
Europe’s largest, annual festival of architecture returns to explore the theme of memory; how it has shaped the construction of London and inspired developers and architects in their place-making and design.
It will examine how memory can influence people’s experiences of the city and facilitate developers, architects and communities coming together to address change in a positive way.
During the course of the month, a variety of events and activities will celebrate how London has evolved and showcase exciting ideas for its continued development.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to learn more about the growing sector and voice their opinions on key issues that impact on the city’s shape and expansion.
The innovative festival begins on June 1st and brings together the best architectural minds to celebrate London’s global success in a sector worth an estimated £1.7 billion.
This is yet more evidence that London is the global hub for the world’s best Architects; exceeding both the creative industries and the London economy as a whole. The festival celebrates London’s impressive architectural history and the advantages of great design as well as its financial benefits to the capital.
