Flowcrete Middle East showcased its hygienic flooring solutions at Dubai’s Gulfood Manufacturing event for the 6th consecutive year.
Gulfood Manufacturing is now the largest and most influential trade show for the food manufacturing sector in the region and provides the ideal opportunity for F&B manufacturers to see new trends and innovations.
More than 29,000 F&B manufacturers from over 150 countries attend the show which features ingredients, processing, packaging and logistics solutions from 60 different countries.
One of the most technically challenging sectors, the food industry relies on the correct specification of flooring materials to deliver a clean, safe and sanitary environment that meets critical health and safety requirements.
During the event, the resin flooring expert’s team advised F&B professionals on the importance of a HACCP International compliant production line in order to minimise the risk of contamination.
At the exhibition Flowcrete showcased its Flowfresh range, which includes the natural silver ion based antimicrobial agent Polygiene®. This additive has been incorporated into the polyurethane matrix of Flowfresh to deliver an advanced surface protection that eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria. The Flowfresh range has been proven to meet the ISO 22196 standard of measuring a surface’s antibacterial effectiveness.
The polyurethane range has been able to achieve HACCP International certification thanks to its ability to deliver a long list of strict food industry flooring requirements, making it the first of its kind in the GCC and MENA region.
Flowcrete Middle East also explained to the show’s participants about how Flowfast, a methyl methacrylate (MMA) enhanced flooring range, can be fully trafficable only two hours after application. Flowfast is a popular choice within the food industry where it’s seamless, durable finish offers an excellent platform for hygiene and heavy industry without the business having to worry about lengthy periods of downtime.
