Flowcrete Australia held its annual team-building event in Noosa last week and it certainly proved to be an action packed couple of days, featuring numerous activities.
Day one saw the team engage in a thrilling paintball battle at Skirmish Sunshine Coast. After many bruises and a lot of laughter, the team then headed up to its accommodation situated alongside the idyllic Noosa River foreshore.
The second day brought some tough challenges, as the staff were placed in extreme situations and had to rely on each other for inspirational motivation and support.
Corporate F.A.M.E Australia collected the team from its base and took them deep into the Tewantin National Forest and up the daunting Mt. Tinbeerwah where the abseiling cliffs awaited them.
Through excellent instruction from Lee at Corporate F.A.M.E Australia and a lot of motivational team spirit, all of the Flowcrete Australia employees were able to abseil down the 30mtr cliff face, with two daredevils even completing the 50mtr challenge!
The final team building activity arranged was called ‘Building Hope’. Here the group was split into two teams, working together to build a total of four children’s bicycles.
The bikes were built for charity and presented to Rachael Witton of SunnyKids, an organisation which aims to break intergenerational cycles of poverty and disadvantage, providing the hope and resilience necessary to move forward, both as individuals and as a society.
Flowcrete Australia Managing Director, Sean Tinsley said: “Holding an annual team-building event is imperative to the success of our business.
“The event brings all of our staff together and we learn our strengths, weaknesses and how to communicate with each other in a more productive and effective manner.
“It also serves as a reward for all of the hard-work that the staff put in throughout the year.”
Flowcrete Australia would like to thank Lee Berill from Corporate F.A.M.E. Australia for organising such fantastic corporate team-building activities and also Rachael Witton from SunnyKids for allowing us to be a part of your inspirational organisation.
