Flowcrete’s Top Tip for Long Lasting White Floors

For many architects and designers, achieving a crisp, gleaming white interior is the sumptuous epitome of elegance, luxury and style.

Not only do all-white aesthetics have such opulent overtones, but they also automatically create a bright, light filled space that will entice visitors and, once inside, it will bathe them in an indulgently welcoming, light reflective glow.

No wonder so many commercial environments desire such an appearance so as to enhance brand identity, attract customers and create a pleasant retail experience.

However this is not as easy as it first sounds – as it can be tricky to source materials and products for all the various surfaces and furnishings of a retail, hospitality or leisure site that will stay white over time when faced with the location’s everyday operations.

This is particularly true of the floor area, as the colour will often fade when put up against the inevitably long list of deteriorating factors that include footfall, spillages, regular cleaning and, crucially, UV light.

Prolonged contact with sunlight will cause colours to fade or yellow – which is why Flowcrete UK is so excited to announce that it has added four new colours to its hard-wearing Mondéco range. These have been specially formulated to maintain a vivid and vibrant white appearance across wide spans of flooring despite years of UV exposure.

This new development means that architects can specify an attractive white hard-floor covering (with all the design possibilities of the Mondèco range), safe in the knowledge that the image they design will last for the long-term. This is an advantage that will pay the venue back over its lifetime thanks to the reduced need to repair or refurbish the floor in the years to come.
