The team at Flowcrete Australia are waiting with bated breath for the night of the Food Magazine Awards to arrive – as it’s just been announced that Flowfresh is in the running to win their Food Safety and Innovation category!
This is a fantastic year to be nominated for the prestigious food industry gong as it’s the 10th anniversary of the awards – which makes the champagne, dinner and dancing all the sweeter.
The antimicrobial flooring solution had to fight its way through a record number of entries to reach the final four products in its class. The other products nominated included Brand M8 by Cosmos 21+, OxyBac by Deb Australia and ICS449 Checkweigher by Mettler Toledo.
The winners will be crowned on 8th August at the Luna Park in Sydney, where guest speaker Ian Harrison, the chief executive of the Australian Made campaign, will give a talk praising Australia’s manufacturing industry and explaining why it’s important for brands to market their country of origin.
Flowfresh caught the eye of the judges thanks to its unique design, which not only provides food manufacturing facilities with safe, seamless, strong and easy to clean floors, but which also eliminates 99.9% of all bacteria that falls onto its surface. The antimicrobial additive Polygiene® provides a pathogen killing property, as it continuously emits powerful silver ions that destroy any bacteria that they come into contact with.
So good luck to Flowcrete Australia – we’ll be uploading a post the day after the event with all the news, photos and information from the night, so don’t forget to check back here for updates.
(P.S. Check out the Hygiene Boy series of comic-book style infographics that tells the tale of how Hygiene Boy, Flowfresh and Polygiene® can counter the Masters of Grime!)
