India’s construction chemicals industry came together recently in Chennai at the third International Construction Chemicals Conference (C3) to dicuss the latest technological advancements and to share insights from the sector’s elite.
The host of the event was the Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA), whose members represent the core of India’s construction chemicals industry – making up 80% of the sector’s revenues.
From March 21st-22nd at the Chennai Trade Centre, a range of professionals and experts (including everyone from researchers, applicators, resellers, contractors, architects, builders, government institutions, construction bodies, civil engineers, consultants and more) talked over this year’s specific theme of “Effective Use of Construction Chemicals for Enduring Structures”.
The intention of this year’s topic was to focus attention on the importance of improved practices at the point of construction, repair, strengthening and rehabilitating of structures as well as covering how to provide protection for buildings against future deterioration.
Flowcrete was excited to be an important part of the event, as not only was Flowcrete India a Silver Sponsor, but the Sales Director of Flowcrete Middle East, Vik Vithlani, gave a technical presentation to the attending guests on sustainable screed solutions. Mr Vithlani’s ability to present the subject in such an interesting way produced one of the most informative and educational presentations of the sessions.
The conference began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp event and was followed by experts from across the different sectors of the construction chemicals industry giving technical presentations.
The exciting line-up of high-calibre speakers clearly understood the intricacies of their respective fields. The important, innovative products available to the global market were expanded upon and vital information was shared on the emerging materials, methods and practises that are taking shape in the industry today.
Over the two days the delegates were treated to a program of such insightful talks mixed with networking opportunities that are an invaluable way to unite the industry in its quest for excellence.
The two day conference, much like its predecessors, proved to be an extremely enlightening event. The lively and interactive atmosphere that has come to be synonymous with a C3 conference was ever present, as delegate’s locked up the opportunities to interact with the speakers and were given the chance to have their own questions answered during the Q&A sessions which occurred after every technical session. All of which goes to prove the necessity of CCMA conferences in bridging the gap between technological advancements and real world applications in India.
