The Stadium Industry by Numbers

11th April 2014 Flooring Advice

The vast numbers of people modern stadia hold can be truly staggering!

The largest stadia in the world are able to fit 150,000 people in at a time, whilst some racing venues exceed even this, with the capacity of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway reaching 250,000.

The sheer number of visitors moving around these facilities can be a challenge for the floor – as it has to be strong enough to withstand all the people walking around the site and also abrasion resistant to ensure that the appearance of the floor isn’t compromised by scratches and marks.

Flowcrete has supplied flooring solutions for some of the biggest and most well known stadiums in the world, including Wembley, the O2 Arena, the Telstra Stadium and most recently for the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

You can find out more about the facts and figures of Australia’s stadium industry as well as how Flowcrete’s hard wearing flooring solutions can meet the on-site demands in the infographics video above.
