Improving the Reliability of Screed Installations

Our acclaimed Isocrete K-Screed is now available in a pre-mixed formulation.

Achieving a level surface, BS 8204-1 Category A screed has become even simpler thanks to the innovative pre-mixed formulation now on offer from Flowcrete UK.

The pre-mixed screed comes in the form of a hydraulic binder that contains fibres and proprietary additives, with the only further requirement being 2 additional ingredients: approved graded sand and water. The new concept reduces the number of components to mix on site and therefore dramatically decreases downtime and reduces workforce requirements.

Previously, our K-screed additive relied on the skills of the individual to produce the highest quality screed.  Now, with less variables at play and the manual labour lessened, the resulting fewer on site operations reduces the risk of human error, thereby vastly improving construction schedule efficiency. As an approved licensee must install the screed, contractors can rest assured that they are receiving a high-end, durable product that produces consistent results across job sites.

Reducing the labour in this manner is economical for those looking to cut costs on installation projects without compromising on quality, as correct component ratios are guaranteed whilst the installation process is sped up.

The screed bag is vibrant in colour to reflect the Flowcrete brand and is 25kg in weight to comply with manual site handling guidelines.

Standard Isocrete K-Screed is manufactured in a BSEN ISO 9001 environment and offers superior compressive strengths of over 25 N/mm2 as well as incredibly fast drying times whilst being versatile in application. The screed may be laid bonded, unbonded or floating (for weight saving and thermal or sound insulation) as a semi-dry cementitious screed, and benefits numerous environments by providing a durable screed that withstands heavy footfall whilst ensuring a fast turnaround. Add to this a compatibility with our Isowarm underfloor heating, and pre-blended Isocrete K-Screed instantly becomes a fundamental ingredient to any successful installation project.
