The very best in commercial and public property across Scotland has been celebrated recently at the Scottish Property Awards, with the ceremony held in Edinburgh last week.
A host of commendations were awarded, including Public and Commercial Development of the Year, City and Urban Regeneration prizes and the Architectural Excellence Award (Public building), which was won by The SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
The award-winning venue was opened in September 2013 with a concert starring British rock and hairstyle icon Rod Stewart. It is aiming to become one of the top three global arenas, according to Pollstar, and and has already been commended as the ‘Most Stylish Entertainment Venue’ by Scottish Style Awards.
The first-class £125 million construction project features over 9,000m² of Flowcrete systems, including Mondéco Classic in the arena’s VIP sponsor bar area (see images above) and Flowfast Quartz in the Main Bowl Arena, the installation of which was handled by Flowcrete UK’s very own project management team, Isocrete Project Management.
