One of the largest retail projects of its kind in Poland opens it doors for the first time today.
Despite not having yet sold a single shirt, the Poznan City Centre (PCC) shopping and transport hub has already won accolades for its innovative construction, including a 5 star award for Best Mixed-Use Development from the European Property Awards.
The new development integrates train and bus stations, a multifunctional retail centre, restaurants, a new road network and a three-level car park, for which Flowcrete Polska supplied 50,000 square metres of resin flooring.
The scale of the projects ambition can be seen in the figures – with 230 retail units, over 17 million annual visitors from the railway station and 7 million via the coach terminal, as well as the construction of 2.5 km of new road.
The team at Flowcrete Polska are really proud to have worked on a leading Central European shopping centre which has done so well at one of the most prestigious awards of the real estate development sector.
The three-story park and ride facility accommodates 1,500 parking spaces and to ensure that the construction remains robust and reliable Deckshield was applied in the building. Deckshield ID was also used in one level of an underground garage and Deckshield ED HD was utilised for the internal and external ramps.
Technical rooms in the development were also supplied with Peran ESD SL and Flowcoat SF41 to provide a high performance, chemical resistant floor coating.
