Smart Materials Light The Way

Lighting, both natural and artificial, can have a powerful effect on the mood and atmosphere of an interior space. Not only does it complement a venue’s interior design and architectural features but it can also enhance its practicality.

Designers often choose their lighting schemes depending on the purpose of a space and some of the best commercial interior designs can be found right on our doorstep – in nightclubs, restaurants and shopping malls.

From brightly lit stadiums to mysteriously dim bars, lighting intensity and colour are creative tools that have a transformative effect on the look and feel of an entire project.

Today, innovative lighting can enhance personal experiences, breathing life into once merely functional spaces with just a flick of a switch. Although natural light is often preferred, we can’t always rely on it and have to find alternative methods that do the job in a visually striking and environmentally responsible way.

Alternative lighting solutions have evolved dramatically in recent years due to both consumer demand for unique, boutique spaces as well as society becoming more sustainably minded. From glow-in-the-dark to florescent to LED, there are contemporary lighting solutions for every project and location!

Glow with the Flow!

With all this in mind, we thought we’d introduce you to two innovative, glow-in-the-dark flooring systems: Flowflake Glow and Flowfast Glow. Their glow in the dark feature has the ability to instantly enhance the aesthetics of a space, as well as provide vital heath and safety benefits.

For venues such as bars, stadiums and nightclubs, these new systems allow for artistic and exciting surfaces with an original twist that really sets the place apart!

These multi-faceted products can be utilised in a number of ways, not only can commercial locations create dazzling, phosphorescent floors that glitter underfoot but industrial facilities can employ these systems as critical safety signage that lights the way during power cuts.

Smart Lighting

The self-luminous flakes work by storing energy when exposed to light and then releasing it in the dark as a vivid, neon-green tinged illumination across the floor. Their robust formulation protects the finish from abrasions, impacts and corrosives – safeguarding the surface against everything from high heels and spilled drinks to heavy pallets and forklift truck traffic. Additionally, their seamless nature helps to keep the floor clean and clear, making sure that the site is hygienic and that the floor’s glow isn’t affected by unwanted contaminants stubbornly sticking to the finish.

      Hi Alexander.
Many thanks for your interest in this product. Unfortunately these two glow-in-the-dark systems are only being sold in Asia at the moment, however we’ve passed on your comments to the UK team and if they become available in the UK in the future we’ll let you know asap!
      Cheers,
      Dan
